Throughout my time at Lasell University thus far, I have had the pleasure of participating in many different clubs and organizations. Reflecting on my experience, I can say proudly that my time at Lasell has been positively impacted by all the people that I have met through the opportunities I have pursued here.

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) was one of the first extracurriculars I joined at Lasell and I will forever be thankful for all the memories and connections that I have made in such an amazing organization. I have gotten to host amazing events such as Bingo and Lasell’s annual Spring Drag Show. My participation in the club has allowed me to fine-tune my skills of organization and event management. Through CAB, I connected with different individuals on campus, specifically the Office of Student Activities and Orientation (OSAO).

Through the past two years, I have worked as an employee of OSAO as both a front desk worker and an orientation leader. Through these roles, my ability to connect with students has been amplified and I am forever grateful that I found my way towards such an amazing office.

In conjunction with OSAO, my involvement on campus also allowed me to pursue a role in the Office of Residential Life as a Resident Assistant (RA). In this role, I get to provide support to my residents and act as a bridge between students and the administration of Lasell. Additionally, I get to be a part of such an amazing community of RAs, one that I will cherish forever.

As I am now in the second half of my college experience and about to enter my senior year, I find myself thinking about whether I would’ve handled things differently if given the chance. I can say with full certainty that there is nothing I regret when it comes to my leadership journey at Lasell University.

So, what I leave you with is this; do not second-guess joining that club or organization, as it could lead you to some of the best memories of your college experience. Go to the activity fairs and join an email chain–you never know what actions could alter the course of your college experience and subsequently your life. It may be scary, but I assure you, it could be all the more promising.
