The Lasell women’s volleyball team continued their win streak at home with another sweep against Simmons University. The Lasers’ triumph against the Sharks marks their 7th Great Northeastern Athletic Conference (GNAC) win of the season.
The first set was rough for the Lasers, but they quickly got back on their feet. After the game, senior outside hitter Eliana Baran, who earned 11 kills this match, explained how the Lasers seized the win.
“[Coach Vautrin] told us spots that were open, serving targets, and places to tip. We threw some different things in there because what we were doing before wasn’t really working,” said Baran.

When asked about her expectations and hopes for the coming games, Baran stated that the team hopes to keep the streak alive and that “having our fans here definitely helps us, so we want to keep that going.”
Next Saturday, the Lasers return for a home tri-match, facing Pratt Institute at 11 a.m. and Suffolk University at 3 p.m.
